Ni-Taas passed away at the age of 8 after years of protecting her community.

A longtime K9 officer is being remembered for her work in the community and her various appearances that gave young Bucks County residents the chance to get up close with a police dog.

Ni-Taas, a Bucks County K9 officer, passed away at the age of 8 last Tuesday. She is remembered for keeping her community safe with her police officer partner. She was also known for her various appearances at the Middletown Grange Fair, putting on performances to show how officers and K9s work together in the community.

“It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of K-9 partner Ni-Taas, devoted partner to Bucks County Park Ranger Steve Sanocki, on Tuesday morning peacefully at home, at nearly 8 years old, surely well before his time,” the official Bristol Township Facebook page said in a post.

She was a member of the Bristol Township Police Department for three years before transferring to general Bucks county work.

“K-9 Ni-Taas will be missed by all,” the Township page said. “Our thoughts go out to his partner Park Ranger Sanocki and his family. Rest In Peace Ni-Taas.”
