YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties Merge with Greater Valley YMCA to Form River Crossing YMCA

YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties will officially merge with Greater Valley YMCA, overseeing 12 branches.

YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties will officially merge with Greater Valley YMCA, creating the new River Crossing YMCA, according to WFMZ 69 News.

This unified organization will enhance services for Y members and participants across Bucks, Lehigh, and Northampton counties in Pennsylvania, as well as Hunterdon County in New Jersey.

River Crossing YMCA will manage 12 branches, providing state-of-the-art facilities and specialized programs. The merger aims to employ over 2,000 individuals, serve more than 142,000 members, and deliver an annual charitable community impact exceeding $12 million.

The merger promises a greater variety of high-quality programs and an expanded reach of mission-driven services and community impact.

The decision to merge followed a management agreement in September 2023, after the retirement of Greater Valley YMCA President/CEO David Fagerstrom

The volunteer leaders of both organizations conducted due diligence, leading to the formation of River Crossing YMCA.
