The new Target store in Doylestown, open for just over a week, is causing mixed feelings among local business owners.

The Doylestown Shopping Center is set to welcome a new Target store, filling the space left vacant since the Bon-Ton Department store closed in 2018, writes Jeff Werner for The Patch.

The new Target will be situated at the western end of the center, on the site formerly occupied by Bon-Ton, the Mercantile, Michelle’s Hallmark, and Essentials Spa and Salon

This addition comes as a significant boost to the shopping center, which already hosts over 20 businesses, including ACME Market, Planet Fitness, Staples, Famous Footwear, Bacco Italian Bistro, Starbucks, Wendy’s, and Turning Point.

The arrival of Target is expected to attract more visitors and enhance the shopping experience for local residents.

The new Target store will provide a convenient shopping destination for Doylestown residents, offering a wide range of products from groceries to clothing and electronics. This development is part of Target’s ongoing expansion strategy to reach more customers in suburban areas.

The shopping center’s management expressed excitement about the new addition, stating that it will not only fill a long-standing vacancy but also invigorate the area with increased foot traffic and business opportunities for the existing stores.
