Tires, a show recently released on Netflix, stars comedian Shane Gillis and was filmed in West Chester, mainly around the Tires Etc shop at 640 East Gay Street, writes Soniya for sportskeeda.
The show is summarized as taking place “At his father’s auto shop, [where] a hapless manager strives to improve customer service and drive profits while keeping his troublemaking cousin in line.”
The show was co-created by Gillis — who is from Mechanicsburg — Steve Gerben, and John McKeever. While filmed in West Chester, it takes place at Valley Forge Automotive Center in Valley Forge focusing on an eclectic staff in a blue-collar world.
Other West Chester landmarks that locals might recognize include Dunkin’ Donuts, Parkway, Pete’s Express Car Wash, and part of the red roof of TruMark Financial Credit Union.
Filming happened last year, leaving season one with 6 episodes to enjoy.
