Historic North Wales Property Once Owned By William Penn Goes Up For Sale For $7M
Joseph Ambler Inn, a historic property once owned by William Penn, has gone onto the market for $7 million, writes Justin Heinze for Patch.
The property has roots that trace all the way back to the pre-Revolutionary War colonial era.
The Inn, which has a hotel, tavern, restaurant, and other operations, is not shutting down. Instead, the owners are looking for a buyer who will continue its existing operations.
This marks the first time that the business has gone up for sale since it was launched by Richard Allman in 1983.
“Brimming with pride in ownership and quality guest experiences, this sprawling 12+ acre complex features 5 primary buildings (a mix of modern construction and historic/antique stone farmhouses and barns) which form a combination of 52 room hotel, full restaurant w/ liquor license and bar/tavern with indoor and outdoor seating in excess of 200 seats, and a large banquet hall divisible into two separate event rooms plus an outdoor ceremony pavilion,” the LoopNet listing reads.
The property features a total of 40,000 square feet of buildings and often hosts luxury events, like weddings and business conferences.
The listing calls purchasing the property a “once in a generation opportunity.”
