More pickleball is coming to Montgomery County this summer with the opening of two new Dill Dinkers indoor pickleball locations, writes Justin Heinze for Patch.
A new facility on 330 S. Warminister Road in Hatboro will have 19 courts with fences, an event space a ball machine, pro shop and an advanced reservation system for members and visitors.
A new 11-court facility is also coming to 1180 Church Road in Lansdale.
“Pickleball is truly an all-encompassing sport, and being a player myself, I am confident Hatboro and Lansdale will appreciate Dill Dinkers as much as I do,” said Dill Dinkers owner Andrew Wakefield.
The facilities should be open by early August.. Both locations will offer players access to the courts year-round. A special tournament is scheduled to celebrate the Lansdale opening from Aug. 23 to Aug. 25.
The Lansdale and Hatboro locations will also offer clinics, private and semi-private lessons, round robin tournaments, and leagues.
Wakefield eventually hopes to have 14 facilities across Chester and Montgomery counties.
I am looking forward to building meaningful relationships through my Dill Dinkers business by meeting, supporting, and employing people who are just as passionate about the sport and the community it cultivates,” Wakefield said.
