In a recent council meeting, Bensalem Township officials unveiled plans to modernize Imagination Land and Inclusive Playground, writes Dino Ciliberti for the Patch.
The proposed project, estimated at $530,000, will seek a grant of up to $250,000, requiring the township to match funds dollar-for-dollar.
The popular playground, known for its heavy use, will be closed throughout the deconstruction and rebuild process, set to begin in January 2025 and conclude by summer.
The new design will feature enhanced accessibility, including sensory boards and wheelchair-accessible equipment, alongside the reinstatement of some older favorites.
