Lake Galena at Peace Valley Park in New Britain is another prime location. The 365-acre manmade lake is not only a haven for bird watchers, with over 290 species recorded but also offers bike trails and nature walks around its perimeter.
For a more adventurous paddle, Lake Nockamixon in Upper Bucks County stands out as the largest lake in the area at 1,450 acres. It offers various launch points and rental options, including an adaptive kayak launch for people with disabilities.
