Middle Bucks Institute’s Sherry Appleton Named Finalist for Pennsylvania’s Teacher of the Year 2025
Sherry Appleton, a dedicated medical and health professions teacher at Middle Bucks Institute of Technology, has been named one of the 12 finalists for Pennsylvania’s 2025 Teacher of the Year Award, according to TAPinto Doylestown.
With over two decades of professional experience, Appleton transitioned to education eight years ago, bringing a wealth of knowledge and passion to her teaching role.
Mark Covelle, Administrative Director at MBIT, commended her innovative teaching methods and leadership, emphasizing her role in advancing the career and technology education sector. Pennsylvania’s Education Secretary, Khalid N. Mumin, also praised the nominees, highlighting their significant impact on students and communities.
The nominees, including Appleton, will be honored at a special ceremony this fall. The winner will represent Pennsylvania at various events, including the prestigious National Teacher of the Year ceremony at the White House.
