Why Has the Construction of Bensalem Parx Casino’s Luxury Hotel Stalled?
Last year Parx Casino proposed an opulent 13-story hotel near the casino and racetrack in Bensalem with the groundbreaking set for 2023, writes JD Mullane for Bucks County Courier Times.
However, one year later, no visible progress has been made. Bensalem Mayor Joe DiGirolamo is unsure, but he thinks it might be related to inflation.
Despite the casino getting zoning and permission to build the hotel, there’s still no word on the progress of the project. However, this is not unusual, development projects often experience delays or come to a halt even after obtaining necessary approvals
The sanctioned blueprints for the Parx hotel feature a 13-story structure, offering 11 levels dedicated to guest accommodations and 300 standard-stay rooms. The hotel, which will link directly to the casino, is set to boast presidential suites, a rooftop dining venue, and a banquet hall spanning 14,000 square feet.
