A well-known hotel in Bucks County, which had recently gone up for sale, will instead undergo a massive renovation project. Emma Dooling wrote about the hotel for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Radisson Philadelphia Northeast, located at 2400 Old Lincoln Highway in Trevose, was originally set to be sold, with sellers eventually asking for $4.65 million.

Now, the owners of the property are gearing up for a multimillion-dollar renovation of the building. The recent news of nearby Parx Casino creating their own hotel has an influence eon the decision.

The property has stood on the edge of Philadelphia for almost 50 years, with 275 rooms for those traveling in and out of Bucks County. It owned by TJM Properties Inc., a real estate investment firm based in Florida.

“A lot of the stuff going on with the Parx Casino and some other stuff in the area, we’re overall really excited about,” said Matt McCarthy, the company’s director of operations. “We’re behind on this renovation, and so we want to, we need to, just update first so I can give the sales team something they can be proud to sell.”
