The group bought the property for a hefty price due to its location.

New Hope’s Innovative Hospitality Management is the new owner of the Inn at Fox Chase, the 35-year-old hotel next to Parx Casino in Bensalem, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The hotel management company, which also owns the Comfort Inn in Horsham and a Hampton Inn & Suites in Hershey, paid $13.75 million for the property.

According to Montu Patel, president of Innovative Hospitality Management, the company acquired the hotel due to its proximity to its New Hope base as well as its good positioning in Bucks County and Bensalem.

No substantial renovations will be made to the six-story hotel, said Patel, since it recently underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation.

Instead the new owner plans to focus on generating more corporate and event business for the hotel, both for its meeting space and for accommodation for out-of-town guests.

“I think that there’s a large opportunity for events in the area — weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, things like that — that bring people from out of town and they need a place to stay,” said Patel. “We want to be their go-to venue.”
