Falls Township has approved an adjustment in plans for a U.S. Steel redevelopment project by NorthPoint Development.

The developer initially got the green light in November to build a 267,000-square-foot building as part of the Keystone Trade Center, a strategic logistics hub for global and regional occupiers.

However, talks with a potential tenant yielded a need for the construction of a warehouse building and a manufacturing operation.

The additional buildings will occupy a 32.2-acre parcel of land.

Northpoint plans to construct over 20 cutting-edge industrial warehouse buildings, encompassing over 10 million square feet with the capacity to expand to 15 million.

The redevelopment could create up to 14,000 new jobs.
