A Delaware County Powerball ticket holder is a million dollars richer after hitting five of the numbers drawn on Wednesday, March 27, reports the 6abc Digital Staff.

There continues to be no top winners of the Powerball jackpot, which stood Monday, April 1, at $1.026 billion, the fifth time that jackpot has reached so high.

The Delaware County ticket was sold online, according to Pennsylvania lottery officials. It matched numbers 37, 46, 57, 60 and 66 in the Wednesday drawing, which also had 8 as the Powerball.

Three tickets worth $1 million, including the one sold in Delaware County, came up during that drawing. The other two were sold in Arizona and Texas

Powerball winners have a year from the drawing to claim their prize.

Monday night was the next scheduled drawing.

This is the first Powerball jackpot to exceed $900 this year. The last time the jackpot was won came in January, with a $842.4 million prize.  Since then, there have been 37 consecutive drawings with no jackpot winners.

The largest Powerball jackpot, and the largest U.S. lottery prize ever, was $2.04 billion won in November 2022 on a ticket purchased in California.
