Community Supported Agriculture programs are a great way to support local farmers, and there are plenty to choose from in Bucks County.

Community Supported Agriculture programs are a great way to support local farmers, and there are plenty to choose from in Bucks County and beyond, writes Lillian Gerczyk for Philadelphia Magazine.

By signing up for a CSA, you’re purchasing shares from local farmers and receiving fresh, seasonal produce weekly throughout the farming season.

Blooming Glen Farm offers both weekly and bi-weekly shares filled with 10 to 15 different items.

Unique to this farm is the opportunity to pick your own flowers and certain produce directly from the fields.

The farm also features add-ons like artisanal cheeses, eggs, and more.

Location pick-up is available in Perkasie.

Love Grows provides vegetable CSAs in large and medium sizes, along with a flexible Market Share option that allows you to buy vegetables at a 20 percent discount from their market stands at the Doylestown Farmer’s Market, Yardley Farmer’s Market and Playwicki Farm.
