Chalfont native Ryan Coleman dazzled judges of NBC’s The Voice with a country take on Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine” and has secured his place in the next round, write Damon C. Williams and Emily DeLetter for the Bucks County Courier Times.

Chance the Rapper gave Coleman a warm welcome as he got officially accepted into the competition.

John Legend, Reba McEntire, Shay Mooney, and Dan Smyers were just as impressed with the singer, who was described as a farmer on the show.

“I absolutely loved your tone,” said Mooney to Coleman after his performance. “Your voice has an identity and that’s what we’ve been listening for all day.”

The 25-year-old Coleman is a Penn State University alumni who currently lives in Philadelphia. His family operates Coleman Hay Farms on Walter Road in Chalfont.

“Our family is so proud of Ryan Coleman,” they posted on the business’ Facebook page. “We are all so excited for him.”

Coleman always wanted to be a musician and share his music with the world. He has released three singles so far, which can be found on Apple Music and Spotify.
