One of the most well-known talents to come out of Bucks County is playing a major role in the first film created by a famous musician.

Actor Richard Kind, who grew up in Lower Makefield Township and graduated from Pennsbury High School, is one of several main cast members of “Monsters of California,” the directorial debut of Tom DeLonge, the singer and guitarist of blink-182 and Angels & Airwaves. The film was released on Oct. 6.

The extraterrestrial mystery was created through DeLonge’s media outlet, To The Stars, and further delves into themes revolving around his obsession with all things related to aliens, UFOs, and the unknown.

“Add Richard Kind to your list of reasons why #MonstersOfCalifornia is a must-watch,” the outlet said on its official Facebook page.

Just this past year, Kind also performed in the A24 film “Beau is Afraid,” directed by Ari Aster and starring Joaquin Phoenix. His long history of roles in film and television has made him a memorable face in American cinema.
