The Rite Aid in the Doylestown Shopping Center is joining the list of Bucks County locations closing their doors.

The Doylestown Rite Aid which closed Jan. 16 joins 77 stores nationwide that are closing in 2024, write Alex Bitter for Business Insider.

This comes amid the drug store chain filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in October. The company, which currently has 1,700 stores says they plan to cut “underperforming stores” to reduce expenses and “strengthen overall financial performance.”

The location on Main Street is among the dozens of other Rite Aids in the Philadelphia region shutting its doors.

Rite Aid Warrington closed its doors earlier this year, and the property is up for sale.

Other locations that closed in Bucks County in late 2023 include Levittown, New Britain, Yardley, and Quakertown.
