Wells Fargo, whose logo is pictured above, will close a Bucks County branch as online banking become prevalent among its clientele.

Wells Fargo is closing two more branches in the region, including one in Bucks County, as its customers continue to shift more toward banking using their phones and computers, writes Jeff Ward for WFMZ 69 News.

“Wells Fargo has made the difficult decision to close the Washington Crossing branch (Bucks County) and West Lawn branch (Berks County) on Wednesday, July 12,” said the bank. “Until then, customers can use the branch and bank with us as they always have.”

The Washington Crossing branch is located at 1276 General Washington Memorial Boulevard, just off River Road. Going forward, customers can continue to do their business with the bank at the Newtown Village branch, which is around five miles away, as well as at its branches in Yardley.

“This is not an easy decision or one we take lightly,” said the bank. “Branches continue to play an important role in the way we serve our customers, and we continuously evaluate our branch network in light of changing customer needs, the increase in the use of digital banking, and market factors.”

Recently, Wells Fargo announced branch closures in several other locations in the region, including Bethlehem.
