The Pennsbury School Board gave the green light for a Hatfield-based architectural firm to design the new Pennsbury High School in Falls Township, writes Peg Quann for the Bucks County Courier Times.

Expenses were a factor in the choice to select KCBA as the designer, which would cost the district $1.6 million more than the other firms that were in the running. The total cost of the project is estimated to be $250 million.

The new school, which will accommodate between 2,800 to 3,000 students, could cost residents an average of $250 on tax bills over the next decade.

The firm completed more than 400 K-12 projects in Keystone State, including significant renovations to Bucks County Community College and Pennsbury’s Charles Boehm Middle School.

The Pennsbury School District has announced plans to collaborate with the architectural firm through meetings scheduled from now until June 2025, aiming to finalize the design.
