The Pennsbury School District is nearing a decision on the architect for its ambitious new high school project, with KCBA and Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates as the finalists, writes Dino Ciliberti for The Patch.
Superintendent Thomas A. Smith announced these firms will undergo a detailed interview process this Thursday at Fallsington Elementary School, starting at 7 PM for KCBA and followed by Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates at 8 PM.
The selected firm will be announced at the March 21 Board meeting. This decision follows a public forum where initial design concepts were showcased, emphasizing that the final design is still a year away and subject to significant evolution.
This move comes after the School Board’s decision last year to build a new high school, projected to open in 2029 with an estimated cost of $250 to $277 million, over renovating the West campus.
The district initially reviewed proposals from nine architects, narrowing down to four who presented their visions for the project.
