Levittown musician Ricky Moyer will make his television debut on “American Idol” this upcoming Sunday, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.

The Neshaminy High School graduate says that sitting down at a piano during his sophomore year was the impetus for his musical passion.

This passion turned into a career. Moyer eventually enrolled in Baldwin Wallace University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts in Ohio pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music. He more recently has been writing original songs in hopes of starting an EP.

Moyer, who was also pursuing a career in theater, decided to apply for American Idol last May.

Soon enough, Moyer got a call back leading to a Zoom interview and eventually flying out to Los Angeles to audition.

The contract requires Moyer to keep his lips sealed on whether he made it to the next round.

Regardless, the Levittown musician is grateful for the experience.

The episode will air this Sunday, March 23 at 8 PM on ABC.
