Archbishop Wood star Jalil Bethea is having a great senior high school season which keeps raising his profile, writes Tom Moore for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Recently, ESPN’s Jonathan Givony projected the 6-foot-4 Bethea as the No. 4 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. That means that the athlete would leave University of Miami after just one season to turn pro.
Bethea has been averaging 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists, as well as shooting 89.2 percent from the foul line. He helped the Vikings close the Philadelphia Catholic League regular season in a first-place tie with two Roman Catholic and Neumann-Goretti.
Bethea also built up his list of achievements by becoming Archbishop Wood’s first McDonald’s All-American. He will play in the McDonald’s All-American Game in Houston on April 2. The game is televised by ESPN, which ranks the player as the No. 6 senior in the United States.
Bethea excelled in summer tournaments, gaining more national attention in the process. He also took part in USA Basketball’s Junior National minicamp.
