Revamping the Local Bar Scene, Gleason’s in Levittown Offers a Fresh Take on Tradition

Levittown's Gleason's Bar, under the new stewardship of Patrick McConney, exemplifies a transformation from tradition to modernization.

Levittown’s Gleason’s Bar, under the new stewardship of Patrick McConney, exemplifies a transformation from tradition to modernization, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.

McConney, who also owns two other bars in the region, has rejuvenated Gleason’s by introducing a range of big screen TVs, an expanded drink menu, a full food offering, and a nostalgic nod to its past with celebrity smoking photos.

This renovation is a strategic move to attract a broader clientele, blending the old with the new.

McConney aims to create a destination that offers great service, food, and creative drinks, steering away from being just another neighborhood bar.

Bars like The Anchor at the Dublin Inn are also adapting, undergoing complete overhauls while retaining a sense of the familiar to welcome both old and new patrons alike.

Embracing evolution while honoring tradition, these revamped bars strive to create a space where every patron, old and new, can find a sense of community and enjoyment.
