Doylestown Hospital is introducing a heartfelt and unique way to grieve lost loved ones with a wall display.

Doylestown Hospital is introducing a heartfelt and unique way to grieve lost loved ones, writes Ed Doyle for TapintoDoylestown.

A quilt display hanging on the wall of the hospital is made from neckties and other pieces of fabric belonging to loved ones passed on.

The quilt aptly named “The Ties That Bind Us” was crafted by members of the Tightly Bound Book Group, part of the hospital’s bereavement program.

This book club was initiated in 2020 amid the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, aiming to offer support to families who had lost patients.

More than 100 people attended the unveiling ceremony of the quilt with fellow members of the book club they’ve only seen on Zoom.

The club is still holding meetings online to include people from all over the country.
