Wrightstown’s Historic Worthington Millhouse Along Neshaminy Creek Seeks New Owner
Right along Neshaminy Creek in Wrightstown stands the historic Worthington Millhouse, a relic from 1763, writes Peg Quann for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Situated at 709 Worthington Mill Road, this grist mill, initially built to harness water power for grinding grain, is now awaiting a new owner.
The current owner, James Beier, is optimistic about finding the right buyer to transform the 4,000-plus-square-foot millhouse into either a quaint home or a bed and breakfast.
With a price tag of $799,900, this almost acre-large property offers scenic views, spacious balconies, and a charming rustic ambiance.
Potential owners can expect an expansive interior, featuring a large foyer leading to a great room, dining room, and kitchen on the first floor.
Upstairs is a master suite complete with a bath, two other bedrooms, and a separate bath.
The top floor houses an additional two bedrooms, a bath, and a kitchenette, with storage space tucked neatly under the eaves.
The property’s exterior is adorned with gardens, a two-car garage, and several outbuildings.
While Beier prepares to bid farewell to Pennsylvania, heading for a Floridian retirement, he assures locals that the property’s goose Lucifer will remain close to the creek, his home for all these years.
