Neshaminy junior bowler Zak Pfeiffer became the third high school bowler in the nation and the first in Pennsylvania to achieve two 300 games in one match, writes Drew Markol for the Bucks County Courier Times.

“My teammates and coaches were encouraging me and cheering me on and that really helped,” said Pfeiffer. “And I didn’t really get nervous until my final ball in the third game.”

This was the Feasterville resident’s third career 300 and his first 800-plus series. These scores helped his school beat William Tennent at Pike Lanes in Southampton and secure the Suburban One League National Conference title.

“I’ve been bowling for a long time and have never had a 300,” said Neshaminy head coach Deb Wolstenholme. “And he’s a junior in high school and has three of them. And I don’t think it will be his last one, either. He works hard at it and was really in control.”

Pfeiffer, meanwhile, gives credit for his success to his elders.

“I’ve learned so much from my coaches and my parents have always been really supportive,” he said.
