A Bucks County basketball player is now being looked at by another major university for his skills on and off the court. Brandon Jenkins wrote about the player for 247 Sports.

Last week, Newtown native Christian Bliss, who plays basketball for the George School, received an in-state offer from Penn State.

“They came to a couple of my workouts last year during the preseason,” said Bliss. “This year, they came to our championship game and I played really well.”

Micah Shrewsberry and Adam Fisher of Penn State liked what they saw, “and they wanted to move forward with recruiting me. I am going to continue building my relationship with them,” he added.

The Nittany Lions joined three more major programs that have shown interest in the 6-foot-4 shooting guard. Bliss has already been on unofficial visits to Villanova and Virginia and has expressed that he wants to visit Xavier.

“I think my game fits their style,” said Bliss on Xavier. “I am excited to go see what they are about. It is a little far so I definitely have to take an official visit there.”

Villanova is also in his sights.

“They are a school that I grew up watching,” he said. “I know people over there that say great things about the program and I have always liked them.”
