The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission is fueling several local projects, including two trails in Bucks County.

2.5 million dollars will be funding two bicycle and pedestrian trails in the county as part of the Regional Transportation Alternatives Set Aside Program.

The two trails are among the 11 projects across Southeastern Pennsylvania receiving funding through the program.

The projects include 2 million dollars allocated towards 1.1 miles of a multi-use trail along Levittown Parkway for the Levittown Trail Project.

The South Easton Road Township to Borough Connector will get 1.5 million dollars for 1,800 feet of a 10-foot-wide multi-use trail along South Easton Road.

The eleven projects are designed to establish safe routes to school, pedestrian pathways and bike lanes.

Sixteen additional projects that could total to 17.2 million dollars will also be recommended for funding through a statewide selection process this spring.
