Warminster resident Del Marlow is celebrating 108 years of life, and he has some words of wisdom for a long life, writes JD Mullane for Bucks County Courier Times.

Marlow, who lives with his daughter, Gail, says that a secret to a long life is eating well and working.

Born in 1916, longevity seems to run in his family. His mother lived to 96, his eldest sister Sarah to 101, and his other sisters 104, and 99.

Marlow was in Schuylkill County and worked in the mines like his father, who was a coal miner. He was married to his wife for 66 years and retired in 1981.

His birthday, which was February 12, was spent quietly at home, but he plans to celebrate with family and friends next Sunday.
