Two Bucks County parks will be getting new bicycle repair stations this spring thanks to Bucks County Tourism Grants program, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.

TMA Bucks Foundation was recently awarded a grant through the program, which it will use to buy bicycle repair stations for Core Creek Park and Peace Valley Park. Both parks are operated by the Bucks County Parks System.

The stations will enhance the overall visitor experience as well as significantly benefit the entire community.

“By improving the bicycling infrastructure with this grant funding, Bucks County can aim to attract a wider range of visitors who are actively seeking outdoor recreational activities,” said TMA Bucks Executive Director Stephen Noll.

“Cycling tourists often stay longer, explore local businesses, and contribute to the economic growth of the area by staying overnight, shopping, and dining.”

The bicycle repair stations for both parks are expected to be purchased and installed sometime this spring or summer at the latest.

“We are thankful for TMA Bucks identifying this funding source and partnering with us to improve our parks to make them premier destinations that are bicycle friendly,” said Bucks County Parks and Recreation Executive Director, Angie Nagle.
