The site where The Capri Bar currently operates in Bristol could soon be transformed into a new facility to help families in need, writes Alex Irving for Levittown Now.

The United Way of Bucks County, which currently runs a HELP Center in Bristol, proposed to renovate an existing building on the lot for another center.

The proposal also included using a second structure on the lot for office and warehouse space.

The Capri Bar shares the lot with the closed Gabrielle’s Restaurant.

The Bristol Township Zoning Hearing Board recently voted 4 to 0 to grant variances that addressed permitted uses.

The Fairless Hills– based non-profit provides essentials to local families including personal home goods, personal hygiene items and cleaning supplies.

The current HELP Center allows for families to have a dignified shopping experience while also getting the items they need.
