In a sparkling showcase of local brewing talent, Bristol’s Second Sin Brewing Company clinched first place for its Hazy IPA at the Pennsylvania Farm Show, writes Paul Vigna for Penn Live.

Breweries from across The Keystone State vied for top honors in 23 diverse categories.

A staggering 255 beers from 44 breweries across 26 counties were submitted for judgment.

Second Sin Brewing Company stood out with their Hazy IPA entry, Burgerstaxx. The beer has notes of citrus, peach, and nectarines.

The founders of Second Sin Brewing Company, Mike Beresky, Phil Harris, and Jake Howell have been friends since their middle school football days.

Initially brewing less than ten batches, they harbored a seemingly impractical dream of opening their brewery, initially planned to be named Gluttony Brewing Company.

Second Sin Brewing officially opened its doors in November 2019. The brewery is known for its focus on its modern twist of classic beer styles.

Their 50-seat taproom in Newtown is slated to open soon.
