Archbishop Wood High School's basketball prodigy, Jalil Bethea, has been making waves in the national high school basketball scene.

Archbishop Wood High School is celebrating an unprecedented achievement as senior guard Jalil Bethea becomes the first student in the school’s history to be named to the 2024 McDonald’s All-American Games roster, writes Isabella DiAmore for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Bethea, who is ranked as the No. 6 guard in the class of 2024 by 247sports.com, has been gaining national attention following a remarkable year.

Recently, Bethea was included in the Naismith High School Player of the Year midseason watch list, an accolade recognizing the nation’s top boys’ basketball player.

Despite the national recognition, Bethea focuses on personal growth and consistency, overcoming early career challenges at Archbishop Wood.

Looking forward to the 47th annual McDonald’s All-American Games in Houston on April 2, Bethea remains committed to improving both as a player and a person, aiming to enjoy the game and compete at the highest level.
