Here’s Where Bucks County Residents Can Donate Blood Amid National Shortage
With blood donations down to emergency levels nationwide, American Red Cross officials are asking Bucks County residents to give blood or platelets to help address the shortage, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.
Severe winter weather has caused hundreds of blood drives to be canceled across the country, potentially leaving some hospitals in short supply of blood, said the Red Cross in an emergency appeal.
To help, Bucks County residents can donate blood at one of the upcoming drives:
- Jan. 26, from 12 PM to 5 PM, Oxford Valley Mall in Langhorne
- Jan. 27, from 9 AM to 2 PM, St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church in New Hope
- Jan. 30, from 2 PM to 7 PM., Advent Lutheran in Richboro
- Feb. 1, from 9 AM to 2 PM, Bucks County Intermediate Unit in Doylestown
- Feb. 2, from 2 PM to 7 PM, Trinity Episcopal Church in Solebury
- Feb. 5, from 2 PM to 7 PM, Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church in New Hope
- Feb. 15, from 2 PM to 7 PM, Covenant Presbyterian Church in Doylestown
There is a need for all blood types.
