Irving Berlin’s White Christmas‘, the 1954 classic Hollywood movie musical, is coming to life on stage at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, writes Alicia Vitarelli for 6 ABC.

The play tells the story of a song-and-dance team who falls for a sister act. They all then team up to save a failing Vermont inn.

It promises a lot of laughter, fun, and plenty of big numbers.

“Everybody knows ‘White Christmas,’ everybody knows the songs from the show,” said Ashley Blanchet, who plays Betty Haynes. “So I think people have this real nostalgic moment when they come to the show. It’s a great way to start your Christmas season and get into that mood.”

The play combines Irving Berlin’s songbook with other songs that the audience will know well, such as ‘Blue Skies’, and ‘I Love a Piano’.

“There’s these really fun production numbers with a lot of great dancing,” said Kaitlyn Frank, who plays Judy Haynes.

“It’s a feel-good piece, it’s going to bring you back to the 1950s and just make you feel all warm inside,” added Blanchet
