The meeting centered around the development planned for the Woods Services’ property across Bellevue Avenue, Flowers Avenue, and Pine Street

The developer is seeking zoning exemptions for townhome development, lawn grading, fence placement, and the construction of decks, patios, and a neighborhood road. Additionally, concerns were raised about exceeding the allowable impervious surface area. 

Toll Brothers presented plans to maintain existing homes on the site, adding a public walking trail and other amenities. The proposed road, to be overseen by a homeowners’ association, will connect Bellevue Avenue and South Pine Street, with an emergency route on Flowers Avenue. 

Residents expressed concerns about the project’s size, potential traffic increase, and stormwater management. Toll Brothers’ Senior Vice President, Brian Thierrin, addressed these issues, promising enhancements to infrastructure and pedestrian connectivity. 

Nathan D. Fox, the attorney for Toll Brothers, assured attendees that the proposal was crafted to minimally impact the surrounding area, emphasizing that the current plan aligns better with the borough’s character than other permissible developments. 

The meeting concluded late Thursday, with plans to resume discussions in December.
