How Bucks County’s jsolomon Rose from Injury to Indie Music Fame
Bucks County native Jesse Moldovsky, known professionally as jsolomon, became a musician after an injury ruined his original plans of becoming a professional soccer player, writes Tristan Weisenbach for The Signal.
In his junior year in high school, he sustained an injury that kept him home for the majority of the school year. And while that time was depressing for him, that is also when he wrote ‘Hazel Eyes‘, his first-ever released song.
He started performing small shows at open mics across the country, which led to more notable performances.
“I started playing some small gigs, I became a part of the Philadelphia Folk Song Society and played some shows through that, and I played at the Philadelphia Folk Festival two years in a row,” said jsolomon.
At 18, he moved to New York City to pursue more music opportunities. Four years later, he moved to Los Angeles. He has since had the opportunity to explore his place in both social and professional settings.
His aim is simple: to have a music career.
“I want music to be my job for the rest of my life, and that’s kind of the only goal,” he said.
