Feasterville resident and Boston Market owner Jay Pandya has officially filed for bankruptcy protection, writes Kamal Sultan for The Daily Mail.

While this does not signal the end of the popular home-style meal chain, Boston Market has struggled over the past six months.

The headquarters seized over $329,000 in unpaid sales and taxes, with some locations being evicted.

According to the Daily Mail, some employees and vendors have not been paid, which has caused the company to be sued over 140 times.

The chain originally had 1,200 locations but has since dwindled to 300 total.

All of its locations in South Florida and Connecticut have shut down recently, mostly because of unpaid rent.

Luckily, workers have the chance to be compensated through bankruptcy court. However, due to the volume of lawsuits, the process could be lengthy.
