Domestic violence services non-profit A Woman’s Place has an uncertain future, writes Jo Ciavaglia for the Bucks County Courier Times.

A state contractor, also known as The Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence, notified A Woman’s Place that it was ending its contract.

The provider change will have no impact on domestic violence prevention, legal services, and emergency shelter.

The coalition has already decided on a successor according to an Oct. 13 letter.

The coalition also offered A Woman’s Place a six-to-nine-month contract extension to assist with the transition.

The transition plan includes the transfer of daily operations to Montgomery County-based Laurel House and Jamison-based Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA).
