Executive Director of Bucks County Abuse Center Celebrated for Work in the Community

The director has been able to help countless women facing abuse.

An important staff member of a center in Bucks County is being acknowledged for the hard work and dedication she has put in.

Marianne Lynch is the Executive Director of A Woman’s Place, a domestic abuse treatment center located in Doylestown. In her role, she has been able to help countless women facing domestic abuse in the Bucks County area.

Local politician Brian Fitzpatrick discussed her achievements online.

“With a growing need for help and dealing with more complex situations, Marianne’s efforts to expand AWP’s services and support to as many victims and survivors as possible have made a significant difference in our community,” Fitzpatrick said online.

“Last year, AWP served over 2,200 of our community members in need, providing more than 8,000 nights of shelter to women and children and handling approximately 4,400 calls for help.”

Before entering her current role, Lynch also served as the Development Director for Philabundance and CEO for Habitat for Humanity in Montgomery and Delaware Counties.
