The ruins of Toddtown just a mile-and-a-half from Conshohocken house a mystery that has remained unsolved for centuries, writes Kevin Tierney for More Than The Curve.

Once upon a time, Toddtown was a thriving community centered around a mill and a church, but it disappeared around 1878 when it was sold at a sheriff’s sale.

Some of that property eventually was incorporated into the estate of a local steel magnate, but the shell of the town remained.

Today there isn’t much known about Toddtown or why it was sold. What is known comes from church journals, Department of the Interior documents, the Lower Merion Historical Society, and a few references in local newspapers.

Emily Suzanne on her YouTube channel recently explored the remaining ruins of the town. You can check out her video here.
