Here’s How Much You Need to Make to Afford a Home in the Priciest Towns of Bucks County

As home prices are hiking across the region, many are scratching their heads over how much dough they would need to make to afford real estate in the priciest towns of Bucks County.  

Based on the Philadelphia Business Journal analysis of data from Zillow Group Inc. and Bankrate LLC, the Philadelphia region has seen an uptick in median home values, bucking affordability.  

Doylestown saw a 4 percent one-year change in home value, with a median value of $696,235. To afford an average home in the bustling Bucks County town, residents would have to make $180,260 a year.  

New Hope, like Doylestown, is among the 25 most expensive zip codes in the region, with an average home value of $826,991.  

To live in the most iconic, but also one of the priciest towns of Bucks County, one must make $206,452 a year.
