Pennridge High School Football Team’s Senior Safeties Strengthen Both Their Teamwork and Friendship
Pennridge High School football’s senior safeties, Sam Kuhns, Joe Gregoire, and Joe Hamburger, have not only solidified their positions in the team’s 3-3 stack defense but also forged a strong bond of friendship.
Under the guidance of first-year head coach Kyle Beller, Kuhns leads as the free safety, with Gregoire as the “bandit” and Hamburger in the rover position, writes Tom Moore for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Their camaraderie is evident on and off the field, “We’re close… we have a good time back there,” notes Gregoire.
Their connection is further strengthened as Kuhns and Hamburger are first cousins. Hamburger reflected, “Since we’re cousins, we’ve just been in each other’s lives growing up. It keeps the bond stronger.”
Despite a challenging season with a 3-7 record, the team is looking forward to their 94th Thanksgiving Day clash against rival Quakertown.
The seniors, who have endured a tough journey with a 2-9 record last season and close losses this year, remain optimistic.
The team is set to face Quakertown, aiming to avoid becoming the first class since 1991 without a win against the Panthers.
