Bensalem’s Parx Casino is spearheading the success of brick-and-mortar casinos in The Keystone State, writes Devin O’Connor for Casino.org.
Players at the Bucks County casino raked in $30.3 million from its slots, taking the lead by $8.5 million more than second place’s Wind Creek Bethlehem which earned players a total of $21.8 million in revenue.
However, Parx Casino ranked second in the category of table games, earning players a total of $17 million while Wind Creek players won $20.4 million.
In total, seventeen casinos across Pennsylvania made $483 million in October of 2023, a 7.3 percent boost from last year, making it the third-highest revenue in the United States.
New Jersey ranked second place with a winning revenue of $487.1 million. Nevada came out on top but has not yet reported its October numbers. However, the state consistently reported revenues over $1 billion for 31 consecutive months.
Oddsmakers had historic wins in The Keystone State, with over $800 million in bets, marking a 19 percent year-over-year jump for the sportsbook.
