This event, “Friendsgiving,” was organized by iHeart Radio and ALT 104.5, benefiting Mural Arts Philadelphia and Morris Animal Rescue.
The music group, known since 2001 for its unique mix of hip-hop, reggae, and rock, has a widespread fan base. They have built a community of fans worldwide and have played free shows at various venues, including senior homes and alternative schools.
Morris Animal Refuge’s Grace Erikson acknowledged the significant impact of the concert on their animal welfare efforts.
The concert was lauded by local fans for its philanthropic nature, highlighting the importance of artists’ involvement in charitable work.
The concert’s proceeds will aid Mural Arts Philadelphia in creating more transformative public art.
