The Bucks County-based male a cappella group Cordus Mundi has earned esteemed recognition with a 2023 American Prize Honorable Mention.

The Bucks County-based male a cappella group Cordus Mundi has earned esteemed recognition with a 2023 American Prize Finalist Honorable Mention, according to The Trentonian.  

This accolade, in the Virtual Performance/Community Division, celebrates their virtual rendition of Franz Biebl’sAve Maria”.  

The group’s innovative approach in the video, crafted by Cordus Mundi bass and video artist Steve Mallon, showcases both current members and alumni in diverse settings.  

The American Prize, a national nonprofit competition in the performing arts, is renowned for its comprehensive and unique contests, spanning various domains of classical arts. 

It aims to identify, acknowledge, and reward America’s finest performers, ensembles, composers, directors, and administrators based on submitted recordings.  

Since its inception, the American Prize has become a prestigious accolade in the performing arts community, awarding over $100,000 in prizes across multiple categories since 2010. 

Cordus Mundi’s recognition in this esteemed contest underlines their exceptional talent and creative prowess in the world of choral music.
