Voters, according to the Wall Street Journal, are deciding on which party will control the Central Bucks School District board today.

Voters are deciding on which party will control the Central Bucks School District board today among hundreds of other school districts across the country, writes Scott Calvert for The Wall Street Journal.

The issue of education is expected to play a larger role in the 2024 Elections than it has in the past, as Democrats and Republicans debate over library book bans and whether or not teachers should discuss LGBTQ issues in the classroom.

While the school board’s majority is Republicans, a slate of five Democratic candidates is vying to take control. But to flip the board, Democrats must win four of the five seats, while Republicans only need two to stay in the majority.

Currently there are more than 17,000 students enrolled in schools across Central Bucks School District.
