Visit Bucks County shared visitation data and marketing strategies with nearly 200 tourism professionals and local organizations at its 2023 Annual Meeting held earlier this week, writes Megan Connelly for Visit Bucks County.

According to Visit Bucks County’s data, Bucks County welcomed 8 million visitors in 2022, which generated $1.2 billion in economic impact. The numbers show healthy year-over-year growth for the industry in the county.

The current year has also been strong for the travel industry. Key indicators have remained consistent with a strong 2022.

Hotel occupancy in the county, average daily rate, and revenue per available room in 2023 are equal to 2022’s numbers.

Meanwhile, the average daily rate and revenue per available room are higher than 2019 levels.

Kelley Keeling, Senior Research & Destination Development Manager at Visit Bucks County, used the opportunity during the meeting to highlight the organization’s ongoing partnership with the County of Bucks on the Bucks County Tourism Grant Program.

The program is currently in its 16th year and has so far distributed over $6 million to more than 120 hospitality organizations for new projects and improvements in marketing, special events, exhibits, and product development.
