This November, nearby Easton is hosting its annual Pennsylvania Bacon Fest, featuring 150 vendors selling treats to “go hog wild” on, writes Robin O’Neal Smith for Travel Awaits.

For the 12th year in a row, the festival has gathered the Easton community and beyond for an abundance of family-friendly activities, live music, contests, and cooking demos.

There are plenty of delights that all feature this crispy breakfast favorite, including chocolate chip cookies, maple-glazed donuts, and even ice cream.

Other vendors are serving up perfect fair food, including bacon on a stick, bacon-sprinkled poutine fries, chocolate-covered bacon, and bacon-topped burgers. Even alcoholic beverages, such as the Porter’s Pub beer and Sette Luna’s Bloody Mary have bacon-infused flavors.

Attendees can bring literally bring home the bacon with packaged food. Artisans, designers, and other creators will be selling their goods, apparel, and merchandise as well.

A variety of exciting activities include a wiener dog race, rock climbing wall, bacon-eating contest and a battle between home and professional chefs.

The festival runs from Nov. 4 to 5.
